Services
ANALYTICAL SERVICES:
The ERI has invested heavily in its analytical facilities. The organisation now has both state-of-the-art equipment and experienced analysts and is committed to providing a responsive and quality assured service to our customers.
Our state
of the art facilities include GC/MS and two HPLC systems, one with a triple
quadrupole mass spectrometer detector and another with photodiode array
and fluorescence detection. These instruments provide us with the ability
to analyse for a wide range of trace organic compounds including pesticides,
pharmaceuticals and pigments. We also have flame atomic absorpotion spectrophotmetry,
flame photometry and voltametric instruments for the analysis of metals
and inorganic species.
We currently provide a commercial service for the analysis of emamectin benzoate in both sediment and fish tissue. These services are widely used by the Scottish aquaculture industry.
We are continuing to add to the range of services we provide through the commissioning of new instruments and the development of new analytical techniques. We are always keen to discuss any opportunities to provide new services to meet emerging needs.

CONSULTANCY SERVICES:
Our
experienced staff are able to provide assistance with many of your environmental
issues. For example we are able to provide innovative solutions for the
treatment of both solid and liquid waste streams, the use of renewable
energy and the management of pollution control measures.
Our team have experience and training in engineering and environmental fields and we have partnerships within the Hydrogen, Agronomy, Biomass and Waste research and industrial functions.
We have undertaken various contractual obligations both locally and nationally and are happy to give examples of this.
General Services:
We will soon take ownership of a commercial work boat which will be fitted out for sampling and survey work.
We also have the relevant equipment to undertake a wide range of general commercial undertakings.
