Bursaries
lasts for 4-6 weeks and allow students to each undertake a project that
is designed to benefit the students and make a real contribution to the
host organisation. During this time students not only gain experience
in laboratory procedures but also learn management, interpersonal and
communication skills, all of which will help provide them with the confidence to pursue their chosen careers. On completion of the placement, students are given the opportunity to present their work at a national meeting (typically held in Glasgow or Edinburgh). |
